Life time and storage life, manufacturer’s guarantees

The life time of the emitter in the customer’s hermetically sealed equipment is no less than 109 pulses.

The manufacturer assures the compliance of quality of the emitter with the requirements of the preliminary specifications in the case if the user observes the conditions and rules of storing, assembling and operation.

The storage life in the manufacturer’s packaging from the date of acceptance before its installation in the customer’s equipment is 3 months. The emitter should be stored in a heated room or a room with air conditioning at category of electron hygiene 100000 (range of purity), 25±2°C, 55±5°C according to the OST 1114.3302-87 within this period.

The emitter is not put to maintenance and repair.

Relationships between the manufacturer and the user as to providing and control of quality are carried out according to the GOST RV 20.57.417-97.

Operation directions

Storing, shipment and carrying of the emitter should be completed using the manufacturer’s packing. The pins of the emitter should be closed by a conductive material (foil). The permissible temperature range for shipment is from -50 to +500°C.

Opening the individual packing should be completed in a room corresponding to the requirements imposed upon the rooms for production of microcircuits. When opening the packing with the emitter, it is necessary that precautions against a static electricity according to the OST 11 073.062-2001 must be taken. When operating with the emitter, it is necessary to ground the working tables and the maintenance staff by a strap for grounding.

When taking the cases with the emitter out of the individual packing, touching the front of the emitter by hands or tweezers should not allowed since this can create a damage or a pollution on the mirror facet of the resonators of the laser diodes.

Increase of a pump current or the current surges in the feed circuit at which a laser pulse power exceeds the operating value indicated in the label more than 10% are not permitted because this may cause a partial or total loss of operability as a result of damage of the resonator mirrors of the emitting components of the emitter.

When operating, it is necessary to set the emitter into the radiator with a thermal resistance no more than 5 degree/W providing dissipation of a power no less than 2 W.

Measurement of a laser pulse power is carried out using the test accessory PKBR.442241.063.
